What makes you a good candidate for Veneers?
In order to determine if veneers are right for you, you’ll come into our office and have an examination as well as a consultation. Veneers are ideal for patients who have cosmetic flaws at the front of their smile. These include:
• Discolored or stained teeth
• Spaces and gaps between teeth
• Chipped, cracked or fractured teeth
• Uneven teeth (some longer or shorter than others)
What can be expected during the Veneer procedure?
You will first come into our office to have your existing teeth slightly buffed and filed down. Not only does this improve the adhesion of your new veneers, but it also prevents them from looking bulky. Impressions, also known as molds, are taken to be sent to a local lab where the veneers are made for you. You’ll come back into our office to have the new veneers placed. We will carefully place each individual veneer and adjust the look and bite as needed. With proper care and maintenance, your new veneers can last for up to a decade without needing replacement or repair.
